Blackhole

Blackhole is a reverb plugin that isn't constrained by the physics of the real world. Originally an algorithm in Eventide's DSP4000 rackmount hardware, it creates virtual spaces that could never exist in reality. This allows for massive, otherworldly textures perfect for ambient effects. It's famous for its soft attack and lingering, harmonic tails.

While it excels at creating huge, space-warping effects and drones, it's also capable of subtle musical sounds. On guitars, strings, and pads, its large sizes add incredible depth. On vocals, smaller settings can provide an angelic sheen. It can even turn a simple drum track into an unusual rhythm section. You have options. It works well for painting a backdrop for a mix or highlighting a key instrument.
