Sample Forja is a toolkit for managing music production samples. It runs entirely in your web browser. It's designed for producers who need to organize large libraries of kicks, loops, and other sounds before using them in a project.

Finding the right sample can be difficult. Sample Forja focuses on the organizational steps that happen between downloading a pack and using it in a session. It helps you make a large folder of sounds easier to browse and reuse.

The toolkit has several core functions for preparing your library.

  • Analyze audio: Drop files in to inspect their duration, waveform, estimated tempo, and musical key.
  • Batch rename: Create consistent filenames for entire folders of sounds. You can preview changes before applying them.
  • Organize libraries: Group your analyzed samples by BPM, key, or sample type.

A key part of its design is that it works locally. All analysis happens on your computer, inside the browser. Your files are never uploaded to a server. This keeps your workflow private and fast.

The workspace also includes separate utilities for other common producer tasks, such as preparing artwork or reducing the size of PDF documents. The tool provides estimates for tempo and key detection, which you should always check by ear when accuracy matters.
