Noodlerack

NOODLERACK is a modular synthesizer that runs entirely in your web browser. You can build your own sounds by connecting modules with virtual patch cables, making it a great way to learn the basics of synthesis before buying any hardware. It's free. You don't need an account or any downloads to get started.

The sound quality is high, with many modules based on respected open-source designs. You can start with factory presets or build a rack from scratch. It has everything you need to create complete tracks.

The synth offers a wide range of tools for sound design and composition.

• Sound Sources: Choose from standard oscillators, a macro-oscillator with 24 synthesis engines, a physical modeling resonator, drum voices, and a sampler for your own audio.
• Sequencing & Randomness: Create melodies and rhythms with an 8-step sequencer, a trigger sequencer for drums, or a topographic sequencer that generates grooves from a map. There are also several modules for generating random, evolving patterns.
• Processing & Effects: Shape your sound with filters, envelopes, and VCAs. Add space and texture with built-in delay, reverb, bit-crushing, and granular processing modules.
• Creative Control: Play notes with your computer keyboard or a MIDI controller. You can also control the synth in unusual ways, using a PlayStation DualSense controller or even your webcam as a light-sensitive input.

NOODLERACK is designed to be approachable. An interactive tutorial guides you through your first patches. If a sound doesn't work, a "Patch Doctor" feature can diagnose the problem and suggest a fix. You can save your work in the browser or share a link that rebuilds your entire rack for others to try.
